Chinalco Advances Comprehensive Development of Ecological Remediation of Abandoned Mines in Xiuwen Aluminum Mine

On November 1st, Ge Honglin, party secretary and chairman of Chinalco Corporation, held talks in Guiyang with Guizhou Provincial Party Standing Committee, Guiyang Party Committee Secretary Chen Gang, Guiyang Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Liu Wenxin. At the meeting, the work team reported on the plan for the comprehensive development project of Xiuwen Aluminum Mine. The leaders of Baiyun District and Xiuwen County in Guiyang City and leaders of various departments of Guiyang Municipal Government addressed the project planning and gave their opinions and suggestions for further improvement.

Liu Wenxin stated that in recent years, Chinalco and Chinalco Guizhou have achieved positive results in the transformation and upgrading of “three retreats and three advances”.
