In the machining process, the semi-circular long groove is used as a special shape surface, which is usually processed on a milling machine by using a special milling cutter. Then, can the special shape surface be processed by the ordinary planer? The problem was discussed, and a semi-circular long groove planer was designed to realize the processing on the planer and apply it to mass production.
